Ridiculous how many collared hunting dogs are running through my property. Six ran through yesterday and two more at 10pm last night on camera. Directly interfering with my hunt and my children’s hunt. Watched these dogs run two small does off MY property onto train tracks. Game warden says he can’t do anything unless the hunter is on my property as well. Purple paint is up but apparently means nothing anymore. Hoke and Moore NEED to outlaw this crap all together. Too many irresponsible dog owners. These dogs owner has already been told 5 times in a year. Felony to shoot the dogs so no solution seems to exist.

One thought on “Hoke Moore Dog Trespassing”
Hello,
Yours is a common problem and one of the reasons so many private property owners despise deer dog hunting. The deer dg lobby has a lot of influence in the legislature and at the wildlife commission. We recommend identifying an owner of a deer dog trespassing, and then filing suit against them citing Pegg vs. Gray NC Supreme Court decision from 1954 which says a dog released onto or allowed to run through the property of another during a hunt, is trespassing just as if the person themselves had trespassed. Good luck and should anyone initiate a suit under this decision, we are willing to guide and assist.
