WRAL Highlights Conflict Created by Running Deer Dogs

PROPERTY OWNERS, LAND MANAGERS and other OUTDOORS-PEOPLE

On Monday April 10, 2023, WRAL Raleigh ran an evening news broadcast by reporter Cullen Browder highlighting the unsafe, dangerous and conflict ridden pursuit of deer by those using dogs and hunting from roadways while violating private property rights. Now is the time to let them know they are on the right track, change is needed, and that you appreciate their effort.

Reiterate the following when you contact them:

Hunting and shooting from roadways is unsafe and needs a state-wide ban.
Hunting Dogs must be kept off private property without landowner permission.
All dogs used for hunting should be chipped, registered and collared with GPS tracking.
The U.S. Constitution protects private property and assured peaceful use and the right to exclude use by others.
If not banned totally, there should be a no dog-deer hunting line for any property west of I95.

There will be no change if landowners, still hunters, hikers, bird watchers animal protectors and others don't get involved and demand it.
